most of the govt offices do this intentionally so that it creates an opportunity for corruption through fixers, fradulent loans, etc.

mmda has the same with lto on apprehension/tickets.

hey Joemarie! well, this blog is a way as well of writing to these gov’t officials, yes? and what do you know, i got my SSS I.D. less than a month after i applied for it. while our kasambahay just got hers — 7 months after she applied for it.

i wonder if the blogging has anything to do with it at all. and yes, to writing to gov’t officials! though in this case it’s clear that the service itself isn’t the only issue. it’s also the fact that they even want to use the people’s money so the gov’t can look good in all our eyes.

The question is, what are we going to do about it? The Philippines has been long overdue for change. Sure you can write articles but words can’t do it alone. Write to your congressman, to your local officials and make suggestions on how to improve these situations. I’m sure when it’s near election someone will pick up their keyboard and start replying back to you.
